And a Happy New Year. How about some updates?
To everyone, I hope that 2011 was good to you and that 2012 will be even better. It’s been a strange and wonderful year for me personally, and I’m happy to say that many of the projects in which I’ve become involved are starting to get legs. But, in case you missed it, let’s review:
- Robotic Raptor has had a good year of growth and we look forward to the completion of our newest and most ambitious project within the next few weeks. In the past year we completed a few of our own productions including 127 Minutes, Two, One, Two and Jumper before we started work on our most recent short. Between that we teamed up with the Radio Happy Hour team again for a web-series called Geocachers, as well as a few interesting commercial projects.
- A 4-movement brass quintet of mine entitled The Protagonist, which was commissioned in 2010 by da Capo Brass, will be released on their album From The Beginning by Delos/Naxos on January 3rd on iTunes.
- Scores of mine from recent short films such as The Dentist, Mommy Wars and some incidental music for inDmusic have been making the rounds and I’m happy to say are doing very well!
- I’m happy to say that I’ve started a great opportunity working with the team at MassiveMusic in Union Square. With any luck, I’ll be useful within the year.
So here’s to 2012. Look for more from us all in the very near future. And shut up, Mayans!
